Created in mid 2008 by guitarist Bruno Moscatiello, the group Kaoll wants to value and promote instrumental music to the great public though their conceptual jazz-rock line of work.

Influenced by bands from the 70s, they first developed the project Kaoll & Lanny Gordin”, featuring the Tropicalia legendary guitarist, during the promotion of “Kaoll 04” (2008), and the recording and promotion of the “Auto-Hipnose” album (2010), yielding more than 100 concerts in many Brazilian States.

From 2012, Kaoll began touring with the “In the Flesh: Kaoll interprets Pink Floyd” concert, where re-interpretations of the British group’s classics took place along a timeline.

Through the release of “ODD”, in 2014, the trio Bruno Moscatiello (guitar), Yuri Garfunkel (flute), and Dokter Leo (drums) stated a more direct and 70s inspired approach, combining band formations with different guests. The track “Aquiles Barbecue” features legendary bass player Billy Cox, from Jimi Hendrix’s bands, besides highlights like percussionist João Parahyba (Trio Mocotó), Paulo Garfunkel on bass clarinet and clarinet, Ricardo Vignini on Brazilian Guitar (Moda de Rock), Gabriel Costa (Violeta de Outono), Gabriel Catanzaro (Aláfia), and Ney Haddad (Mobilis Stabilis) on the bass, Fábio Ribeiro (Angra) and Fábio Leandro (Projeto Coisa Fina) on the keys and pianos, among other collaborators. With a road trip vein, the album reveals influences from Jimi Hendrix, Hermeto Pascoal, Som Imaginário, Marco Antônio Araújo, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Jethro Tull and Black Sabbath.

In 2016 the group was invited to record live for the “Instrumental Sesc Brasil” project, presenting tracks from the albums “Odd” and “Auto-Hipnose” in the sextet format, and also resulting in the recording of the program “Passage of Sound”, which presents the history of the band since 2008.

In 2017 the band performs its new work titled “Sob os olhos de Eva”, conceived in the format of a conceptual soundtrack for the homonymous book from writer Renato Shimmi. Musically the group extends the boundaries of jazz-rock with universal musical influences, bringing diverse ambiences to illustrate emotionally the set of philosophical essays presented in the book.

In 2018 the Kaoll completes a decade of activity by releasing the “Ten Years Barbecue” commemorative collection that replays tracks from their 4 studio albums and live music. The booklet provided by the band brings a retrospective of these 10 years including historical photos and a special selection of flyers illustrated by the studio Sopa Art Br, contextualizing the saga of the group that has been contributing to the consolidation of the instrumental scene in Brazil.
